Dr. Anacaona Carina de Lima was born in Montreal, Canada and raised on the beautiful Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago. As early as the age of eleven, she aspired to be a dentist while going through her own orthodontic treatment. In pursuit of this dream, she returned to Montreal and attended McGill University, graduating with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Mathematics in 1997. She then went on to graduate in 2002 from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. with a degree as Doctor of Dental Surgery.

Dr. de Lima obtained board certification to practise in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Florida, and since 2003 has chosen to make the sunshine state her home. After practising in Central and South Florida, she is grateful to have inherited the practice of Dr Arnold Fine and the care of his patients.

Dr. Carina de Lima has returned to her initial interest in orthodontics by completing a 2-year program with Progressive Orthodontics. She is also Invisalign certified since 2003. Her goal is to continue to provide comprehensive care to her patients and in doing so hopes to strengthen her skills yearly as she has done thus far.

Dr. de Lima considers whole body dentistry vital to the pursuit of overall health and often sees fit to discuss the well-being of her patients with their other health-care providers from dental specialists to dermatologists. She prides herself on patient education and making a positive lasting impression on her patients.
